24hchildcare is a platform connecting families with caregivers for 24-hour with flexible care and transportation services. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us:

  • Account Data: Name, email, phone number, address, password when you register.
  • Profile Data: Child’s age, care needs, schedule preferences, photos you upload.
  • Provider Data: Background check info, certifications, experience, hourly rates, availability, SSN/EIN for payments.
  • Payment Data: Billing address, payment method details. We use third-party processors and do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: Messages between families and providers, customer support inquiries, survey responses.

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, referring URLs, clicks.
  • Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
  • Location Data: General location from IP address. With permission, precise GPS for matching nearby providers.

Information from Third Parties:

  • Background Check Partners: Criminal records, sex offender registry results for providers.
  • Social Media: If you connect via Facebook/Google, we receive basic profile info.
  • References/Reviews: Feedback other users leave about you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide Services: Create accounts, match families with providers, process payments, facilitate messaging.
  2. Safety & Verification: Conduct background checks, verify identity, prevent fraud.
  3. Improve Platform: Analyze usage, fix bugs, develop new features.
  4. Communicate: Send service updates, security alerts, marketing with your consent. Unsubscribe anytime.
  5. Legal Compliance: Respond to law enforcement, enforce Terms of Service, protect rights/safety.

3. How We Share Your Information

With Other Users:

  • Families see provider profiles: name, photo, experience, rates, reviews, background check status.
  • Providers see family profiles: first name, general location, care needs, schedule.

With Service Providers:

Payment processors, hosting, analytics, email, background check companies. They access data only to perform services for us.

For Legal Reasons:

If required by law, to protect safety, or during business transfers like mergers.

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing.

4. Your Privacy Choices

  1. Account Info: Edit your profile anytime in Settings.
  2. Communications: Opt out of marketing emails via the "Unsubscribe" link. You’ll still get service/transactional emails.
  3. Cookies: Manage via browser settings. Disabling may limit features.
  4. Location: Turn off location services on your device.
  5. Delete Account: Contact support@24hchildcare.com. We’ll delete or anonymize data except what we must keep for legal/safety reasons.

5. Data Security

We use encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure. You’re responsible for keeping your password confidential.

6. Children’s Privacy

24hchildcare is not intended for children under 18. Parents provide info about children for care matching. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

7. U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you’re a California, Texas, Virginia, or other state resident with privacy laws, you may have rights to: access, delete, correct, or opt-out of certain sharing. Submit requests to privacy@24hchildcare.com. We will verify identity before responding.

8. International Users

24hchildcare is operated in the United States. If you access from outside the U.S., your data is transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Changes to This Policy

We’ll post updates here and change the "Last Updated" date. Material changes get an email notice or in-app alert 30 days before they take effect.
